Fani-Kayode Opens Up on APC Betrayal

A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has expressed that he has no lament joining the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC). Fani-Kayode made this claim a very long time after he unloaded the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the APC. There had been speculations that the decision of the former minister to join the ruling party was to extinguish his corruption case before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Nonetheless, the anti-graft agency, despite Fani-Kayode’s defection to the APC, last week invited him to their office over alleged falsification and manipulation of documents. Fani-Kayode on Saturday in his reaction to the most recent happenings claimed that he is pleased to be a member of APC. He further expressed that he never said the ruling party has betrayed him, adding that he has no lament joining the party.

Fani-Kayode in a post on his Instagram account expressed, “I am glad to be a member of the APC. I have NO second thoughts. I NEVER said that APC has betrayed me. I am pleased and respected to be at the party.

“What God has ordained cannot be stopped. I shall be what God wants me to be. My destiny is irreversible and I am unstoppable.”

Meanwhile, Fani-Kayode had earlier expressed that joining the APC doesn’t give him immunity. Fani-Kayode expressed this while reacting to the report of his capture by the anti-graft agency. According to the former minister in a post on his Facebook account Wednesday, everything is all good if the commission had captured him.
