Responsibilities:

A skilled and detail-oriented Material Preservation Coordinator to be responsible for overseeing the preservation activities of client materials in storage. The role will involve supervising a team of preservation technicians, monitoring preservation processes, and implementing quality control measures to preserve the integrity and usability of materials. To report to the Inventory Manager and ensure compliance with preservation procedures and industry standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and update Material preservation procedures
  • Coordinate material preservation activities: both preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Ensure timely close out of all preservation activities and generate periodic reports as required
  • Develop, maintain, and update Maintenance Job routines for all critical material groups plans
  • Work with warehouse leadership to ensure that all preservation activities are carried out according to plan
  • Maintain master document were all preservation documents and worksheets are domiciled with access to appropriate persons
  • Carry out pre-shipment and storage quality checks on all warehouse materials were applicable
  • Plan and oversee the implementation of 5s activities in the warehouse space
  • Oversee the conduct of material preservation audits and ensure best practices are followed
  • Report to Inventory Manager on the implementation, operation, and improvement of material preservation activities for Client materials in storage.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Management, or a related field. A relevant professional certification would be advantageous.
  • COREN
  • Proven experience in material preservation or a similar role, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background
  • Solid knowledge of preservation methods, techniques, and best practices for different types of materials.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements related to material preservation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify preservation risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality control
  • Conduct risk assessment before carrying out all preservation task to avoid injuries.
  • Demonstrate ability to de-energize equipment’s when required before commencement of task.
  • Identify hazard and execute control measures to mitigate the exposure in the work process
  • Lead the environmental protection plan during the preservation process which includes but not limited to spill prevention and proper waste management.

– Location: Nigeria

– Equipment: Phone / IT equipment provided by company as needed

– Schedule: Full time

– Compensation: N700,000.00pcm (GROSS)
